Default Do let the reading of the forums wake you up, Funcom

You have released the game too early so its normal it has bugs, seen that before, its common practice anymore.
What i never seen before is a company that releases a big budget mmo with a customer support so bad that it adds insult to injury.
Petitions that have to be updated every few hours or else they get deleted, people waiting for days and weeks without being able to get a response to their petitions because said petitions are constantly deleted. No other company does that.
Lack of communication, make major game changes and not bother mentioning them in the update notes.
I am not complaining about the unfinished state of the game, about the bugs and crashes, what i complain about is the pitiful way Funcom decided to handle these problems. You lost the respect and confidence of a lot of your customers.
Deleting petitions and threads is not going to make your problems go away, its your paying customers that will go away.

If they delayed the game another 3 months, everyone would be bitching even more and Funcom stock would tank. What they should have done is not set an official release date so early, which forced them to keep pushing it back.

You will never be happy.

It's kind of like that curse from Pirates of the Caribbean.

But official release dates are part of what builds hype. I mean good god.. what MMO or game actually gets released on its first official release date. Warhammer woulda been out last year!

Anways, (not in defense of funcom) but this is a normal part of the MMO system.
1) Release an unfinished projects
2) Collect subscription fees
3) Continue to develop game
4) 6 months to a year down the road have a nice polished game
5) Continue to add free content and the occasional pay for expansion to keep subscriptions going

It happened with WoW, LoTRO, AoC. Expect it to happen with WaR and whatever MMOs come out in the future.

Call me a fanboy if you want (and I expect someone will) but this is the reality. When buying an MMO at release you are paying for 1/2 finished garbage.

Now there is a lot of BS that needs to be fixed in this game. Your choices are simple

1) Quit and never come back.....
2) Suspend your account and come back when the game is more polished
3) Continue playing if you enjoy the game

If your not enjoying the game, 1&2 are probably for you. Hell, I could be sick of this game in a week or two. And I'll probably pick up WaR when it comes out. But until I'm absolutely bored, I'll keep paying to play. At least its interesting to watch how they progress into fixing things and dealing w/ the angry mob.

You are right in what you believe, however the point is that funcom's customer service sucks, they promised things would be in game at release, they are portraying them in the game now and they have our money plus upgrading our computers the money we spent out for this game to have bought a lie or should I say bought into the FunCom lie, remember things that are in the game and bugged out, ok no problem , things that are supposed to be there and are not? False advertisement

I made a thread about this earlier. It was partially flamed, but many of the smart people agreed. Thanks for your post. It shows reason.

Yup we paid to test their beta.

I like it how the GM's wait until you log off and then reply to your petition saying they tried to get hold of you.
