I have writen a story for my clan but it has gotten too long and it is over four or five posts with comments in between, is it possible to increase the word cap or put a place for creative writing where the author can edit it to be easily read ?? Just a suggestion ! comments ? ideas ? Moderators care to comment ?

I don't think they're going to change the forums to accomodate one person's fiction, but it's very easy to just break your story down into posts. When the reader reads it..if the story is engaging to them, their eyes will automatically carry them on to next post without even realizing they have done so.

Aye, do your storyline posts in a different font than default, or head it up with a line of ****************'s or something. Someone reading it will instinctively find the posts that look like:

Suddenly there is a quiet knock at the door. The intruder goes silent. The shadows suggest he is hiding, but it is too hard to judge. The door squeaks slightly as it opens, and a soft footstep into the room is heard. Without warning, all lights are doused, and a loud crash is heard above him.

They can then easily skip ahead to the next area of story and past all of the comments.

The whole "max character cap" is a pain in the butt, yes. I hate breaking up my chapters. But as Draygen said, there are some tricks you can use to make it a little better. I throw in...

...that and the beginning and end of each of my chapters, unless the next post continues a chapter, in which case I'll put it on the top of the first post, and on the bottom of the last post that concludes the chapter. I might even change that to Dragyen's astrix, as they seem to stand out more

Another thing you can do is type a NOTE at the top of your first post asking that all responses be sent in PM to you. Most people will honor that. Also put that note at the end of each post so they stay reminded.

Most people who are avid story readers will type the OPs name in "find" and just keeping using "find next" to focus on your posts exclusively. At least that's what I do.

I sill wish they'd increase the cap. I don't even write long chapters and I still run out of room. It's annoying, to say the least. Other than that, I love the formatting and clean default look. Very easy to read imo, especially love the background for quotes.
