You'll notice that I said "someone of import". That doesn't mean royalty. That means someone of some importance. What that means is up to the reader, I guess. In the end though, you're doing little more than applying your subjective opinion to others as though it were fact.
Also, if you bothered to read any of the quest dialogue in AoC, you'll see that various NPC's
do recognize you. So the potential, again, for one's character to have been someone of at least mild importance, is there. Me personally, I prefer my characters to be nobodies. They weren't important before, they aren't now, and they won't be in the future, unless the story just unfolds that way. But if someone wants to take some liberties, what does it hurt you?
At any rate, I'm out of this discussion. There won't be any agreement, and there's really no need to keep debating.
