Comcast Tech came by today. He checked
http://192.168.100.1/signal.html and some numbers were off. He switched my internet cable with one of the tv cables on the 3way splitter located outside. After this, he said the signal looked good. Thanks! 30 minutes later I disconnect. Ok, no problem, unplug modem and allow it to reset....30 minutes later disconnect. Call them back and he tells me tech should be here within the hour. 5hours later and no tech. Call comcast (really getting feed up with that automated **bleep** then waiting 30minutes) get someone on the phone that sounds like they are talking to me through a tin can and string. I cant understand anything being said and hang up (I am contemplating throwing anything electronic out the window at this point). Start a live chat session with comcast. All I wanted was to schedule another appointment and know why tech never came back. Seems person never scheduled tech to come back right..... can't you just call him and say 'hey, stop back at that house you just left when you done where your at"? Anyways, by the end of the chat session, she said that she thought the modem registration could be wrong somehow. They screwed something up when internet was out in my area on 5/18 and won't admit it. 6 years with no problems until the internet outage. Wish there was some other options for broadband in my area.
