I then searched and found a way to clean up my computer .... I used Regclean ( ended up costing me $30 to register) and it found 600 + problems in my registry.

Since I used the program to clean up my cregistry I have been around 55 ms with not a single lag spike (about 10 hours playing time so far).

I hope this fixes the issue for everyone!!

Cheers

i have reg cleaner (i do have another reg cleaner prog thou) and i keep my disk fragmented all the time , still got the lag issue i delete the pref file this morning i test for about 1 hour and got no lag

sadly i had to work today and prob around 1pm i could do another hour test, then in the night(heavy play time) i can do the big test.

anyone else can input on the pref file deletion besides me ?

I'll try it just for the hell of it, heh. Sounds just about as random as the miracle fix of deleting the old log files that someone else came up with though (and I think I saw that user now saying he quit the game in disgust). All these random things that seem like fixes could just be because of the random nature of the spikes themselves.

edit: actually given the pref files' location, when I first tried the game in XP it would have had no pref files there anyway, so yeah it doesn't work.

Ok but is yours working as intended ? Try to use REGCLEAN ....its a free scan, you might want to try it and see what it picks up. I was shocked at all the probems it found.

On windows xp that I installed 4 hours ago. Still have it but found out that re-zoning helps get rid of it sometimes.

edit: SCRAP THAT, STILL HERE, DAMN YOU FUNCOM! =)

CAN YOU PLEASE FIX IT? OR INFORM US THAT YOU ARE WORKING ON IT?

About to quit this stupid game.. 10k ping is absolute bullshit.

Aye I've been playing for about 3 hours with no spike, and I didn't try the registry thing nor the pref file one. I put that down to staying Tarantia the whole time, there's been no zone loads.
