Stormrage. I noticed the lag spikes started occuring more heavily when I switched from Bluesteel to Stormrage, but I also did this right after the latest patch on June 2nd. I am not sure if the problem was caused by the server change or the patch, but the issues was not severe beforehand.

4. What you were doing at the time of the spike

I get spikes all the time in all situations. I get 1-3 small spikes of 500-3k latency every minute or so that last just a couple seconds, and then I get the massive 10k latency spikes that last upwards to 5 minutes anywhere from one to several times an hour. I have minimized out and checked my internet connection and browser during these large spikes and they are all fine.

5. Estimate of the time it happened at
6. How long does it last

7. Specs of your Computer

Windows XP
ASUS P5E Mobo
Intel Core 2 Duo e6750 at 2.66ghz (oc'd to 3.4ghz)
XFX Nvidia 7800gtx 256mb
4gb Corsair XMS2 RAM

*I'm running over a wireless network using a Linksys Wireless-G 802.11g router, and a Wireless-G network pci adapter card model WMP54G v4.0. I've tried some various fixes in this thread such as disabling wireless zero configuration, updating drivers, disabling firewalls... nothing has worked thus far, but I still have a few more things to try.

As I said above I didnt start having issues until immediately after the June 2nd patch, at which time I also switched servers. Beforehand I would not get the small lag spikes of 1-3k, and very seldom (maybe once or twice in a long gaming session) get the 10k lag spikes which in turn did not last as long. Since then I have been getting spikes all the time.

No problems at all until June 2nd patch then the lag spikes 10k latency etc hit constantly.

Location UK
ISP BTbroadband
Server Set
Actions at time were various and had no effect on whether latency spiked. Fighting standing still running etc all same.

I think i found a fix!

So I tried an experiment....

I deleted all of the "old logs" in my age of conan folder every time I start to lag, and so far, it has fixed it every single time......

Please, try this out and see if it works for yourself.....and post back here, hopefully we have a fix that will work for everyone.

EDIT: Tried a few new things just in case.

Deleting OldLogs: Nope didn't work for me at all.

Windows Wireless Zero Configuration: Am on a wired network no wireless, but saw that the service was on and turned it off. No difference.

Back to VPN for now, I will try and find upated NIC drivers.

Log thing didn't work. Well, I thought it had but it was just the randomness of the spikes not kicking in yet after restarting the game.

Does anyone else notice it starting to lag up after a random zone load? Like twice today I've been playing perfectly fine, then I entered the Archeronian Ruins and it started its usual 9800ms bs almost instantly.
