I've been debating this for a little while. I like the dps from my "dps dread" spec. However I also do most of the main tanking for 6 mans- 6 mans is find however I would like to go into T3 and actually take more than 3 hits haha. The reason I have been debating this is while I'm doing 1300/1400 dps my leeches are actually effective in keeping me alive however, if I need to drop agro have fun pulling off of that >_> but then again I'd have a dread for that as well. Idk I'd just like to hear different people's opinions on some different views about going general or not. So far I'm not really for General just because once I get more BD gear it will be gg, but at the moment I'm full khitai with BD wrists/ belt. I can take physical bosses just fine but magic tend to hurt me a bit anyway that's it :P

The only good things in general are goad, and cunning D and a lot of "wasted" points to get to them. Granted more survivability is good, but you still miss out on a lot.

Were you thinking of sticking with the shield or going tali?

Well that's the biggest thing, to me the points would be a waste putting them in General to get Cunning D and honestly I've gotten into a habbit of not speccing goad since it usually has to be goaded off me :P But yeah that would be about the only reason I'd go general- maybe for the extra armor. But Yeah I'm using a Tali at the moment still haven't accumulated enough Shards for a crafted Shield however I think that would be the ultimate goal. and I'd assume when I have the shield it would equalize the benefits in armor/prot I would get from speccing general, but just wanted to see some opinions on it :P

Edit- I'm using Blossoming Death and the SC tali- I'll switch to using Essence of Courage blue shield if I really need to, but not often anymore.

To do higher tier raids, general is a must, (don't need it in 6 mans) you have to have goad and cunning deflection. Without them you have nothing in bad situations, therefore making you pretty useless.

You're always useless. And you only have dps classes (OP ones at that) so I no listen to you

No one listens to me, and then they wonder why they suck

Does it help or hurt me that I played a DT? I mean, it's the most OP DPS class in the game, but it just happens to have plate armor.
