Don't get me wrong I appreciate what Zort and Posey did, BUT, by standard, pugging to Keeper and pugging to Arbanus is not a successful T3 raid. That is not clearing the instance.
On zorts defence, his pug did kill keeper.

I understando what u said, i am just saying that if u play on tyranny and not wicanna or set, chances that u are not hardcore pver.

Kithai gear is on par with t3 for most classes and let u do the majority of stuff t3 would alow u (not to mention critigation for tanks and heal rating for healers).

So (and thats only imo), tyranny playuers are happy with what kithai gives to them and are lazy to waste hours and hours on t3 and above.

And again, imo, thats a logical consequence of low pop.

Or the logical result of people viewing this as a gaming and just doing crap they enjoy.

I know, perish the thought.

I think you are misinformed. People view it as a game, one which does not have crap they enjoy, which explains the results of the low population.

You think think population is low because people took this game too seriously? Really?

Apparently they are looking at the new adventure pack in Q4.

except for the adventure pack, more noodling.

an't that just dandy Craig, you yet noodle again. In fact it's clear this wonder for new technology is you real enthusiasm.

And there you have it in a nut shell what is wrong with the game - developers playing games with code.

Speaking as an artist, at some point you have to set down and say something in finished, not run off whoring after the latest little incremental improvement in technology. AoC is a released product, not a work in product beta.

Meanwhile, the PVE crowd is dying from the grind and the PvP is dying from neglect.

A clarification on your point. T3 gear from toth is usually better than most khitai gear by far. Khitai gear and weapons are on par with t2 gear, or more or less. However khitai dps set for many dps classes are much better for deeps than t3 gear which is concentrated on -hate, regens, and constitution for those classes. Overall for tannking, for guards nothing beats their t3 gear, for dt/conqs, nothing beats combo of LL and black dragon gear. Overall, for pvp/pve, those who raid t3/t3.5 has a significant advantage over those who don't. But I don't understand the point of these conversations eitherway.

Plenty of people do take the game way to seriously, but that's another issue.

You said PvPers won't raid because they are lazy, I said they won't raid because they don't find it fun.

They need AoC to beta the new systems for TSW. They call AoC a released product, but in effect, but it really isnt. Ingeniuos when you think about it, all the money saved by not paying real beta testers/qa wages/benefits all while making people pay them for the priviledge of testing new code for their upcoming new game!

And shouldnt they be upgrading their test server from the commodore 64 to at least the commodore 128? Maybe some of these hotpatches can be tested properly after an upgrade...

That latest update is almost upon us. We are still aiming for release at the end of the month.

Yes, as we said in the Development letter earlier in the year, we did consciously choose to focus a little more on system updates for the first half of the year, but we have already rolled out the new raid encounters, have more coming up in the next update, as well as getting in the new max level versions of the dynamic dungeons.

The next adventure pack is well underway internally, which will bring a tone of great new content at the end of the year. Yes, it would have been great to do it earlier in the year, but the systems updates were important, and we think it will be well worth it when it arrives (and we have the new features coming too, with the crafting revamp, sprint changes, multi feat specs etc)

I think overall, when you weigh up the content updates over the course of a year, we compare pretty favorably to most other MMOs, and better than many. There is still a good sized team working on the game (with around forty people all told) and we are working towards many more years to come AO will celebrate its 11th year this summer, we very much see AoC having just as long a life

All well and good, Sil, but the main problem is that the latest system-updates have been nothing short of a disaster for many players, and that while system-updates are well and good, we really do need to see some hard-core progress, and soon (as in damn fast, not soon as seen from an engineer's viewpoint). I know that one usually doesn't get quality content fast and easy, since it's usually a case of picking two of them, but still. Something absolutely needs to be done, and that very, very quickly.

And please, for the love of whatever gods may or may not exist out there: get back to talking to us again! It's been far, far too long since we've seen regular Blue/Brown-posts apart from the weekly and monthly posts. I know that TSW is keeping you and the community-team busier than a Jack Russel-terrier in a ballpen these days, but right now this community is being neglected. And badly so.

No mention of PVP neglect...? How neglectful
