Thanks, Bukkithedd and CrunchyNoodles. I appreciate the explanations. Mind you, anyone with a contemporary history of MMOs will have gone through exactly the same thing with every single game, including WoW.
I can point to a 100 such people that are from the Alpha of WoW and the same story as Alpha AoC players. Such is the accepted practice amongst all development companies, I shite you not!
I believe that we have a choice: Either "bend over and take it" or influence your "game buying" friends not to support games too early on. For instance Rift was the latest game to release with almost no issues. Surprising, I know!
WoW was really good in comparison to all other products out there at the time, but how many millions have left the game siting that the game has girth but no depth?
In the gaming industry as with any other, a wide birth is the only thing people see coming, they don't see or care about whatever shite is being pulled behind it.
What would help would be for everyone to suffer at the hands of MIB Agents the little Red Blinking Light of Forgeting Shite That Should Be Forgot and wipe WoW out of our brains and make a good dagnabbit game that doesn't have to appeal to investors immediately.
