Considering how much damage is magical, I put my money on blighted soul.
Just about every T1 fight has times when blighted soul would help. T2 there is sabazious, levi(before he spawns), clearing trash adds at the T2 that rips(cant recall name, female boss), killing utamons, tanking adds at gas boss, the gargoyles. Khitai I don't know as well to provide good examples, but I am sure there are some. T3, none off the top of my head. T3.5, T4 I have no clue.
IF you are going for group support as opposed to main tanking, I would almost choose improved martyrdom over sacrificial fury.
But we can agree to disagree. I like bouncing ideas around and discussion.
***I'd like to stress this last point the most***
Hopefully new DTs can read both our posts and understand both points of view, to their benefit.
It appears lackluster, but its actually pretty good, espcially for a 1 point feat. Also, it procs off of Leech Life, not SFoF.

Is it leach life? I don't even use that combo, of course I only run dps spec. I still question zone, as I have 0 problem proccing VOM, and I still question Mind Shatter, as 4 seconds can be reduced to 2.5 seconds through AA, which is basicly free stun immunity, from a pvp perspective.
Understand I have a very anti-depravity veiw point as ALWAYS having to spec Dread Shadow to tank is a designer flaw.

Yeah we were talking PVE Main Tanking in this thread, so the extra point in Mind Shatter is essential. Zone of Gluttony is GREAT for 1 point. Also, Improved Martyrdom is broken, if I recall correctly. The additional stamina and mana regen ability is much shorter than the green heal, and each additional point does nothing at this point.

And no, my feat is perfect for me and all dts using it.

Darkhand is nice but to say not feating it is fail is pretty ignorant.
I tank t3/t4 on my dt and have never needed dark hand and see no reason to feat it.

The point is: DH can heal 3k+ and 120% health tap combined with it can save raids/6man from wipes. If you are not using it, you're increasing the % of a wipe if you are the main tank.
If you tank everything without it and never die, okay, that means your group is good, but if something goes wrong you'll probably fail. We are not guardians =/.
If you are playing with bad/undergeared/pug players like me, you'll need dark hand or else you gonna be a fail dt, trust me.

Imo if you feel you need dark hand then you're doing something wrong.

Dark Hand is only good if Blood Pact is up and SoC is used. Otherwise...I can pop a guild city pot for that 120 health.

Tell me, Mr. I hate Dark Hand, what are you doing with the extra 5 points?

Well let's look at it from this perspective. If you're good enough and geared enough you don't need dark hand.

No dark hand is almost the same thing as guards not using strike and guard. You don't need to use it, but it helps. A lot.
I just don't know why ether reap is better than +-1k-3k instant heal.
