So I'm still relatively new to khitai but I'm trying to figure what purples are better to be working towards. Whether its mostly last legion, wolves, tiger...

I'm looking to be pretty much focusing on getting best geared for tanking so I would thing last legion with the protection would be best but don't have a clue how much is a good amount.

Any advise would be much appreciated

In my opinion for pvp go for tigers in pve go for wolfs or Legion

I think best tanking gear for a DT is...

LL Hate Helm (preferably fort helm if you can get a group)
Tigers Chest
LL Late Legs
Wolves Belt
Tigers Gloves
LL Hate Wrist
LL Hate Shoulders
Wolves Boots

DT is about stacking Crit gear and this set maxes Crit Rating. More crits = more vom = more dmg = more lifetaps.

If you only want to focus on one faction to reach rank 4 first (remember you only need rank 4 for the wrists/boots) I would go with wolves over last legion. The wolves boots are more of an improvement over the LL hate boots than the LL hate wrists are to the wolves wrists.

The protection granted by the LL protection set is weak in the grand scheme of things and you are better off focusing on protection accessories (some crafted accessories have a very nice amount of protection although they lack in other stats) and chromatic warding and your passive wards.

Yeah you didn't pick up the good pieces. Erock gave you the best advice, all of those pieces will maximize critical rating and critical damage rating while giving you the most mitigation and other stats as you can get.

Just don't play the class like a guard, or spec in general unless you're pvping.

Cool that was simple enough I'll go with what you said to do bout gear. Im currently rank 4 with wolves, rank 3 with last legion and rank 2 with tigers so shouldn't be to long before rank 4 with all.

What sort of spec would be a pretty good one for tanking. Got mine from a guildy. Seems to be doing okay, but is all depravity/general. Find that if I lose aggro its pretty hard to get back.

obviously a spec for t2 and t3 would be best, have a couple khitia purples and the rest is a mix of t1 and t2 gear.

one of your builds I found mabus just switched a few points around to get a bit more protection and armor

Remember you only need to be rank 4 to buy wrist/boots and weapons/accessories.
