Yeah, I don't know if any of you guys hang out at the Khesh dueling area in Tyranny, but I have had my baby lvl 67 sin there dueling some of the 80's just trying to get a feel for lvl 80 pvp with a sin. boy have I been getting wrecked lol.

PVE:

Speccing both is gonna be bad becuase you will lose a point of dps on another feat and brun your shards and CLE or Necrotic Empowerment. DPS from a no shard Gb or DWw is bad compared to using the shards on a bomb + DWW or GB. Using GB for 5 shards and DWW for 0 shards or vice versa is just a waste of shards versus the DPS you gain from them.

PVE Builds are all about good passive sustained dps anyways doing some moderate burst dps here and there but not enough to pull aggro.

PVP:

Nerfs on the DPS of DWW and GB have been done in proportion to shards burned by the combo. Using both in succesion is pretty much gonna fail every time Unless youa like the "Kamikaze" playstyke where you use Necrotic Empowerment + AOD + GLE + DWW + GB, which may work but leave you defensless, or the Necrotic Empoerwent + Lotus Overdose + GB + DWW, which will most likely kill you and have a 50/50 percent chance of killing your target.

Best PVP build is still sticking to one either Lo or AoD, and either GB or DWW, add Crystallized Lotus Extract and Necrotic Empowerment.

QQ will always happen regardless of what you choose but the best most flexible sin build Ive used was AOD with DWW. Using DWw as a finisher, or to heal up with AoD DWW and some other combos.

I recommend specing Lotus Overdose and forget about DWW, use excellent balance for KB resistance, it's not as noob friendly as AoD builds, but SDS/deadly venom is practically a oneshot with Baneful Venom with enough gear (even geared guards go down to 50% in defensive stance). Sins shouldn't need survivability that much, you just hit and move, and can't die to casters, rangers a ****s no matter what.

use the aod/dww instead of LO, and you get 2 anti-kb's. With the imbalance in the number of rangers, and the fact 99.9% of them try to drop their kb when you charge them, having 2 makes it easier to burn them down and move on.

Well it all depends on how you play.

But right now the most effective and "commonly" used CC is the knockback CC. Rangers, demos, Sins, Barbs,Tanks have it. Getting KB'd is a bummer as it leaves you defenseless.It takes about 4-5s to get up and start moving around again.

AoD heals you prevent KB. getting EB in general not only helps with the KB but the estra stamina regen is a must for movement.

Well you should have at least 6 points in general for EB regardless of anything.

GB/DWW is not where the damage is. They're straight burst, it's ok for finishing off targets but if you rely on them solely you're trash basically and won't get much kills.

If you focus on straight DPS, you'd spec lotus Overdose for Baneful Venom and run around slow death striking people and near one shotting anything that isn't a heavy in defensive stance.

If you want to be more tanky and survivability focused you'd take Avatar of Death for health tap + KB resist, either is fine for minis, but LO spec is more reliant on your team helping you a little bit, unless you just want to sit around in hide picking off strays - you won't be able to survive much of being focused for too long.

Third option is the full tank sin, which has a ton of general and no GB/DWW - more of a duelling spec.
