I'm a new level 48 guard, and while their is a ton of information on this board I was wondering if I could get some feedback on my current and future builds. I'm mainly just tanking instances at this point in time and leveling speed is not an issue for me.
My understanding is that while polearm is the preferred tanking method, it doesn't really take off until you get a couple of pieces of T1. With that in mind I've chosen s/s so far and I'm pretty pleased with it.
Any thoughts on morale boost? I also only put one point into both bleeding dulling blows and counterstrike stance, because it's my understanding that the damage doesn't overwhelmingly increase with more points.
Polearm tanking is fine from Black Castle to T3. An apped level 70 pole guard can tank Atzels Fort and Onyx fine.
I'd be running something like this for level 50ish then aiming for Stormstrike at least until I got some faction purples or tier gear.
Moral boost is a waste imo id put those points into momentum i dont spec for juggernaut anymore because i dont wanna waste the 5 points in intervene it may work as intended but the question i ask myself when specing is can i get the result this feat gives me by useing other means.
Overreach and counterweight build the most hate and cry of havoc, irritate are on very short cds so intervene is useless strike and guard is nice although the +8 damage deflect is gimp but its a short cd cc which is good.Juggernaut has a nice protection and damage buff the+armor does not add up correctly sometimes though for undergeared tanks it is worth specing but once you get geared out you can get rid of it for more dps.
I think your spec looks fine other then moral boost gl and have fun~
