hey guys, I burned my insta-level 50 on a guardian. it's a bit weird jumping into a class at 50, and after a little playtime, I've gotten everything down pretty well aside from one thing.

combo variety.

flashing arc will quickly shift shields around - what other combos should I be using to move shields around on longer fights? I want to make sure I'm not overlooking anything.

one more question.. it seems not a lot of polearm guardians take skewer.

as a pvp player, the snare seems rather useful. are folks using another ability for snare thus making skewer kind of worthless?

For the "move shield" part i would go over to sword and board and do some combos from there then pop back to polearm when the shields are moved.


And for the snare. You can spec a snare to the Shield Bash KB. I think most people use that one. Its guards strongest KB and with a snare its pvp friendly to

thanks for the response - as someone who loathes weapon swapping, would skewer be something I should look into speccing for? am I gimping myself by being stubborn?

If go combat mastery have to giveup combat mastery strat or intractable mind strat for skewer.

I prefer combat mastery, i like skewer, practical nad supportive

Weapon swapping is crucial to getting the most out of many classes in AoC ... get used to it.

Practice hitting enemies in the back it staggers them, it frees up the points needed for skewer.

Here is a good 50'ish build for leveling and for world PvP. The trick is learning to pop into frenzy at the right moment in a duel.
