Possibly in impale, since it has a semi-separate cooldown (shares the global but not the full cooldown) than stunning/regular charge. You basically have a charge available every 15 seconds or so with both. (can not remember the exact times off the top of my head)

Maybe put the other point in Skewer, never know when the extra snare could come in handy? Thats all I could think of.

I do know I can build 10 vengeance by myself when I am aoeing 4 mobs at a time now (5 points in vengeance is mine). Thats a big change somewhere between previously and now. Still trying to get down some of the changes, but I am coming along nicely again I think.

I do not PvE anymore at all. Well T3 raids 2 days a week for like 4 hours total time. But nothing else.

And I will be testing out those 2 points, I am sure they are worth ****, but would like to know.

Probably, was just throwing out alternatives. I was just impressed that vengeance is mine actually procced at all. Before I left it would get to maybe a 2 stack in the same situation. Just thought I would share lol.

I do notice I use my charges a lot when I am in CE and there are large groups, granted I just started showing up there and I completely suck at PvP at this point.

Just curious, is there a build that I can pvp in but also be able to do 6 mans or, as a guardian, do you pretty much have to switch builds constantly? I'm a brand new 80 guard with no gear besides culture. Thanks

This is the build I use which works great for minis but also allows you to polearm tank in 6 mans or raids with decent gear. Be careful though I tend to pull aggro easier using my polearm then S/B

And the BV/SS build will generally get chewed in raids and 6-mans until you get decently geared.


An all-purpose build for a Guard in culture i'd advise going either Jugg+Gen (Polearm combos + Bloody Vengeance for PvP, either for PvE) or Tempest+Gen (Polearm). The Hybrid build is for minigame junkies and bored, well-geared tanks.

Have to agree with Kastos.
I've ran all of T2 with BV/SS but I'm full T2. IMO Tempest/General gives you the best survivability and sustained damage output of the builds listed.

I used this spec tell about 3 months ago its good for just strait tanking i dont really like juggernaut the ability but for undergeared new tanks it does help out the testing ive done showed me you dont get the +armor from juggernaut but the weapon damage,protection procs do work.

I have only used this spec 2-3x its a fun spec but i feel dirty trying to dps on a tank especially considering how many dps conqs,dt's i have bitched out for being useless=D

I was having trouble holding agro with my old spec so i got rid of jugg intervene,strike and guard and put those extra points into tempest its more dps plus redoubt,improved dulling blow and wall of steel give me 15-20% evade 20-35 seconds of every minute which in the long run helps me survive longer then i did useing juggernaut.

Yes im missing some nice things here and there but this spec is the best balance between dps and survivabilty defiance is nice but if your healers and offtanks are doing there jobs then it is not needed tempest/gen is ok but u lose 2-3 ccs so i would not advise goin with that spec.
