So........when's the patcher going to start patching the expansion for those of us who did the digital download? It's 6:12am EST here in the US where I live.

When the servers go back up I'm figuring. It's been 2 hours since they went down (8pm for me here in NZ). So, in approx 10 more hours (12 all together). But, their down-times often fall short of thier estimates, so perhaps earlier (hopefully ) Probably be back up around 4pm for you (If it's 6am where you are, the servers went down at around 4am, so 12 hours on from that - 4pm )

I imagine any follow up patch will follow not long after this big update. Won't have to wait long. Plenty of skulls to crack in Khitai, in the mean time, eh!

I have to wait 12 hours (normal Tuesday downtime, big deal, fine), but when the servers come back up, I have to fight everyone else for Funcom's bandwidth to get the 3gig download to get the expansion, plus whatever "emergency patch" that comes along the way in the meantime?

These will be on different servers and past experiences with the bandwith distribution has been great.

I bet it will be a peer based torrent system, more people downloading = more people to leech off.

Yes, if you don't already have the original AoC installed, get the second download. It is AoC and RotGS combined, so you'll have a much smaller amount to patch when servers come up.

well basically what i was saying is, in my server for the first hour im gona scream like a babling idiot ona war mammoth preeching LOOK WHAT I GOT , and then i will resume leveling my characters in Khitai
