A few friends and myself are coming back after a year and a half and we tried playing on Cimmeria, our original server with our tier 2 city, but I can't stomach the relentless ganking anymore. I dealt with that crap over 5 years ago when WoW initially launched so I am over that and just want to experience the game.

So we are deciding to roll on a PvE server, so just few basic answers would help us decide where to go.

1) We are east coast
2) Is there a better server population?
3) Mature gamers in our 30's, no drama, just want to have fun and experience the game and may eventually look to join a guild with the same principles.

As far as I know, Set and Wiccana are about equal in population. Wiccana has a pretty decently sized RP community if you are looking for that sort of thing. I can't really give you any other information on Set as I don't play there. I'd say you'd be happy with either server. I think the only main difference is that Wiccana hosts an RP community and Set does not.

Wicanna has a good population.. I'm sure Set is no different.

I personally picked Wicanna because I liked the Server name better. Set is a filthy snake-god and I'm Cimmerian. Twas a conflict of interest.

Thanks for the quick responses and based off of those 2 responses I think I know where we will go.... Wiccana! My friend, who knows all about the Conan world and lore loves to do some RP so that will make him feel right at home. Be weary, we may see a response from him, lol.

Population is the same it seems like:

Significantly more PVP on Wiccana
More PUG raids on Set
More RP on Wiccana
More helpful people on Wiccana

People at Wiccana tend to be more friendly and helpful than at Set. Population are the same. It doesn't really matter whether you are at East or West Coast unless you are using a 56k modem...or 28k if they still exist

Odd, my experience is the opposite to the two gentlemen above me.

I transferred from Wiccana to Set, because Wiccana has (In that brief cross-over period between Oceanic and US times) a population that approaches Tyranny 2 years ago for maturity and helpfulness.

Set seemed like a little red roofed house with white picket fences and a labrador in comparison. Even in US times. I just enjoy the server a whole lot more, the population appears more civil and mature and they do have PUG raids if your guild raids are busy.

Same time. RP is on Wiccana so if you want that, that's the server to go to.

If you're having trouble grouping, come across to BMR. We have a fair few people on during Oceanic times. The more the merrier. We don't say much in Global, but we're around.
