Yeah guys come ON. stop trying to play the game and sit patiently for Funcom to finish the beta.
If this is your idea of a beta then I suggest you play sudoku. I hear paper never crashes. Launch problems happen. Your player base explodes 100x over night and problems that weren't prolific enough to notice before become glaring. Such a random crash i'm sure is hard to track down. Blizzard even had the same problem and it would resurface every couple of years.
I think the only main issue here is that with 2 million plus players, fixing character classes compared to major game play problems are reversed. You can't tell me that at $50 for the game, $5 early access, and $15 monthly charges....they can't find (hire) the tech staff to fix this very common issue. If ya want to promote the game....make it work...sales will follow fucom....bad pr does ya no good. I realize that with this being a new release their will be issues, but since almost everyone has the exact same technical graphic issue, fixing game play options or a character's hair color should come second....just read all the posts about the freezing! You can't make everyone happy, but you could try....even an update from fucom or a note on the patches updates might even make us feel better, temporarily
a little feedback from Funcom would help. Granted ,I'm sure they know there is a serious issue with mem leaks and GT8800 cards but if they were to come clean and at least acknowledge the fact and give a update to what they are working on, that would help our piece of mind. Lets get the game playable FIRST, then worry about class balances.
Well, I've got a fan installed on my Thermalright HR-03 GT now and my 8800 GT runs at about 54C while I play AoC now. Dropped about 30C underload I think it's time to o/c.
