Does strength add to combo damage or is there not even an attribute that does?
If not i would still go fire(magic), looks like the most dps you can get.

No it doesn't it adds to dps, and dps doesn't add to combo damage. If you are so sure of it go use a level 5 2hander on your combo and be amazed you do the same damage.

Or I could just take all my gear off and do 1000 less damage on my Pillar?

I just tested it. He's right. However, when i remove my +2hnd edge gems.. I notice a decrease in my combo damage for Hell Strikes.

How many gems do you have? If I take all my gear off I lose a SHITLOAD of damage.

Over 1000 per Pillar, Over 150 per HS swing, ect.

IF the gems add anything to 2He damage...It's tiny at best. With over +300 2He, I saw less than a 3% change in my combo damage. This was from 80 Hell Strike VI combos in Villas. I averaged 600-620 per swing naked, and 620-640 per swing with gemmed gear. To top it off, my white strikes did at the least, 150 damage more while in the gemmed set.

It adds dps at more of a 2/1 ratio, and if it does anything to combo damage, it's not even worth it...which was probably just other stats affecting it.

We're 'broke.' Oh ****ing well. It's not like we weren't ever sickly over powered. Stick it out or reroll; I'm perfectly fine with my character still.

It may sound weird, but there is a difference between using a low DPS weapon/high DPS weapon and using a weapon slotted with Scything.

I tested this with a guildie when I slotted for 60 2HE. My average swing during the HSV combo (at the time) was around 50, so my overall damage increased by about 250 for that combo's finisher. That does not include the white damage's increase.

So try using a 60-100 2HE suit instead of swapping weapons. I think that how it works is that weapon base damage does not affect combo damage, but the modifiers that are on the weapon are not increasing base damage, but some sort of 'after' damage which is why it increases both white and combo damage.

Ok I agree here. I am putting a video together as I speak of the tests me and a barb buddy did. I will be posting a few set ups where I'm naked with a lv5 weapon and diregore(lv80 weapon). Also I will show my damage with my gear on. I'll be posting it in a few hours probably.

I could of took a larger sample but the difference is so large that I dont need to. Are you still going to tell me it doesnt increase combo damage?
