I am proposing all RPers on Wiccana choose a evening, when we can all congregate and RP, so as to perhaps spur more alliances or enemies, or just random RP. Guilded or unguilded do not matter. I say we choose a place and time, something like Wed in Tortage perhaps? or in Tarantia? Just something to get the RP community closer and more involved with each other.

So, no offense...

But personally I can't think of anything more deadly then sitting around listening to everyone tell me all about how wonderful/abused/evil their character is.

So Ill pass on the "storyteller night" and get caught up on my classic sci fi reading instead. If someone wanted to organize a time and place to just BE in character and interact, I'll be there.

So ... why post? I mean, why not simply let it pass? Not your cup of tea? Ok. But it's a group of folks who want to RP. Why would another RPer step on that?

There's so much RP debate about rules and naming conventions and ... blah, blah , blah. RP, imo, hinges on community. That community will have segments that you aren't involved in or even enjoy, but my guess is that we are all better off if we don't bad mouth other RPers' events.

I was always under the understanding that last night's gathering was to be about lore stories and info-swapping and questions (and the occasional, baseless, superstitious rumor that makes things so cool) and not really about character histories. I'm glad it went well.

Yup, it was lore and legend as told through the perspectives of any participating characters. I met a lot of great role-players there that have gone onto my friend list.

There will be screenshots posted, but not transcripts unless people care to post what they spoke about. I wasn't taking notes - was too busy role-playing.

Anyway, my initial post was not meant to derail the OP - regular gatherings on a regular night are great. I'd like to see something more then just pub nights, however. My character is not a lush nor much of a socialite. While last night's event was structured only in that I'm sure the storytellers spent time preparing their tales to perform, it was purely unstructured, non-scripted RP beyond that. I had a great philosophical debate there with one named Nightheart - was a lot of fun.
