Does it matter why its 80? Everyone likes getting a new level and getting new feat/talent points and spells/skills to try out. So why dont you just add more levels so you can get that feeling more frequently and just have a shorter amount of time between them. In AO there were 200 levels at release 220 in shadowlands, and some alien levels in the AI expansion. They could have made it 20 or 30 levels and still had the same amount of time needed to get to cap as they do now.

The point of feat points can be addressed by simply giving 2 per level, instead of 1.

There is probably no reason to put the level cap at 80. In my opinion, the level cap should be 99, and remain 99. But, that wouldn't leave a lot of room for expansion.

Honestly, with regards to the what about 100+ levels.. that's like having your gf and her sister at the same time. Or in the case of the ugly sister senerio, perhaps the sexy mom. But, I haven't played a game with 100+ levels since like Star Ocean 2, lol. Would be different to say that much.

Just have to wait and see.

I rather have the 80 Lev's now, than have to grind another day to go up to another lev... Grind now,, play later/enjoy the game.

No because then characters would have disproportionated power at diffrent stages meaning you would have to go through every single encounter to rebalanced it, every single dungeon to re-tune the risk vs reward, There is method to the madness trust me.

Funcom does it that way.

Did you ever play AO?

They like more Dingz.

Also 80 is designed to scale up to at least 100 or more.

It won't be 80 for long....
