These kinds of players, especially returning or new players don't have time or the gear or the AAs to get into whatever guild groups there still are in the game, and right now with the low population, there's no real alternate. If there isn't a way for these players to find groups and attempt the less challenging instances, they're just going to quit the game entirely and then they'll never be able to join your groups. It's in everyone's best interest to try to retain as many players as possible.
The end goal would be to increase the population, but a LFG tool is the best way to do that. (apart from a new expansion with an actual marketing campaign, but Funcom hasn't done that since the game launched) If there were a healthy population, then group finding wouldn't be a problem, but the population isn't healthy and hasn't been for a long time, so people need some extra tools to make it easier to group with whoever's left.

You'd think that with 40 people we could get a group of 6 constantly going, but even among us there are barriers:
#1 Levels. Vets and most p2p are all 80s. What about the f2p who are still at lvl 26? Or another at 41? No one likes going through 80 levels alone.
#2 Going through the 'setting up a group' together manually. Other MMOs do this automatically.
#3 Even friends are on at different times, different days, etc.
We need single server and that LFG tool. I'd be logged in constantly if I knew I'd be doing something other than repeating dailies alone and waiting 30 mins for a mini.

Tho Ev1LS's stated he dosnt like LFG systems in general the LFG system
shown in this post prevents the following issues with its
leader selectable grouping features, for when leaders need specific
group make ups. Yet this LFG system still allows new players to
group for pugs when those LEADER features are not needed or
as important very easily & yet still fun. The best of both worlds.
Funcom This type of full featured LFG is what is needed to end
Conans new player population problems as "elite players & new players"
can both enjoy it
"hassle free".
