Thumbs down Petition Systems

I've tried for over 12 hours and 3 days to get an in game GM to help me with a quest issue. Nothing, Nada, Zip, Zilch ... no so much as a "by your leave". I get no repsonse every, can't tell if there is a que ... what the hec is going on or is it "we are done with support" and 'tough shat" .. I mean I'm a so called premium player and pay for this, why exactly would I continue?

Make sure your petition is classified correctly, or you'll never hear from the GM's at all. And keep your language under control. If you go balls-out angry on them, they'll delete your petition instead of answering it.

wont matter if they answer it anyway .. GMs are less than helpful. I think in the last four years I have only had two decent experiences. Most of the time you get, I'm sorry but we are unable to handle that request, please contact support at ... The only things gms have ever done for me were port me out of a fall animation and getting a deleted email back (the email took three hours to retrieve).

Yep, been like this from launch. At lest the GM ignoring a petition beats the priggish lectures some people have gotten about how the player needs to just play better to over come a known bug in the game.

And to think, Funcom probably has staff meetings were the scratch their heads over the dropping subscription rates.

I'm sorry for you zensome and EmerorNorton, my experiences with GMs,on the whole, have been positive.

Yes, I was once helped by a GM who seemed to not want to be bothered with helping me. (It was an easy issue to solve and clearly he didn't want to go to Thunder River to see for himself that the quest wasn't updating.) I've also put in petitions that took a long time before a response or that I ended up logging before I got a reply from a GM.

But on the other hand, I've had GMs that seemed to go to extra lengths to help me. One corrected without question a mixup (on my part) of a quest reward choice. I have also had several GMs respond to my petition within twenty minutes - one within two minutes. For the most part, I've had GMs provide me with all the help I could reasonably hope for.

I try to remember that the GMs are limited by certain 'rules' of what they can do for players and they usually solve any issue that's a problem of the game (and sometimes fix stupid things I've done). I try to keep that in mind when I petition and talk to them - they're not allowed to be gods and come when I call and give me everything I ask for; sometimes I have to live with the mistakes I've made.

Smile Apologize to FC

Apparently I’m an oaf …. so the new petition system requires two-clicks of the “submit” button after you type out the details. One let’s FC know you have review FAQ that might be related, the other to actually submit the petition. After such -- I got my more normally polite and fairly response service. I’d like to see a queue system added back so you can be sure you petition is “in the system” but I do owe an apology to the folks at FC on this one.
