Lost a pvp duel to a fresh 80 ranger who I actually PLed partially to level 80. I know my STA is supposed to leave me laughing against other rogues and their burst dps, primarily sins. I'm using a feat build for Tempest and heavy in storm strike side. Am I doing something wrong with AA's or something? seems like I couldn't even get a hit.

STA is pretty lame for PVP TBH. I assume you just hung out in frenzy and he three shotted you? Should be pretty easy to beat a ranger, the only problem is closing the distance.

Use skewer to snare him so he cant run, KB him and then go into frenzy, profit.

Yeah you cannot kill in defensive stance. Once u get to your opponent go neutral or frenzy. One thing to consider with a guardian since all you damage is calculated on combo finisher - is do that in frenzy, and then drop into defensive for the animation.

Always remember CC's, and any defensive tools you have. Always double tap a rangers linebreaker. They are all noobs so only the trap will knock u back

In regards to STA how does it work on Necromancers? does the damage deflected from the pets hit the pets or the master? and what of the dots?

think so? i find it gives just enough protection to shake a barbs/rangers faith in burning down any health.
