Default Taps n Pets.. Should pets benifit?

Curious and also a bug? Currently if a necro puts on any gear or buffs that grant taps it does not give us or the pets anything back for damage done BY THE PETS.

Now i was just thinking since it is in essence 1/2 a pet necros damage shouldnt either the pets or the necro benifit actually get the extra tap damage from the necros tap rating?

Say a necro puts on the tap from Astrolobes. Necro attacks with pets and such as normal. He will only get the tap from the damage he himeself inflicted.. Which is 1/2.

Now a demo/ hox or any other class does the same. They get the full amount. I know some will say thats the way it should be because we do so much damage.. But so do a lot of other classes. A good rogue can parse just as high in some situations. Demo can do more. Tos / Bear same. So shouldnt the necro get the tap from the pets damage as well?

I'm not a Necro expert and stuff, but that is working as intended.

Pets are pretty much passive dmg and not "real" dmg. Taps only count toward "real" dmg.

Which means...

...is actually 100% the taps and not 1/2. You will get 100% from Worms, Ice Strike and all that funny stuff, just not from your pets, even though they make up for 40-60% of your overall dmg.

That's how I see and observe it at least, may or may not actually be right as explanation.

Pets are THEIR own damage, not the necros. So, no.
