I've been missing AoC something terrible as of late, now that real life has finally settled down for me. I've been gone since before the expansion came out. Quite a bit before. When I left the game was still very active and had a very lively RP community. So, one can imagine my heart plummeting after reading the other areas of the forum where people are complaining about the lack of population these days; after I paid over a hundred bucks for a year subscription and the expansion. Reading the role-play forum, though, it seems some of you are still alive. Those Invicti(?) guys seem to be keeping the ball rolling.

So, is the RP taking it's dying breaths or is it finding another leg to stand on. I would be really sad to find out I paid that much just to run around in a game by myself because nobody is around.


Edit: Ignore the information in my signature. It's for the rp guild I ran when I played back in '08. I'll get around to changing it eventually.

Like you, Dunkerstunk, both I and my brother are returning to AoC after a similiarly long period of absence (although, we left when the bulk of our guildmates left AoC). Since our return we had been continuing to play our toons on Cimmeria, yet both decided to move over to Wiccana since RP seems to be dead there (it's become dominated by the purely PvP crowd, apparently).

Both of us will probably be re-establishing our guild on Wiccana once our transfers are complete, at which point I will make a recruiting post in the Wiccana guild forums.

Hopefully, your fears are unfounded and we will find the RP community on Wiccana to be alive and well! In the meantime, if you want to setup some RP, feel free to PM me here on the forums. I look forward to meeting you in game!

No kidding! I've been gone just as long. The RP guild I belonged to on Wiccana is now dead. D-E-A-D, dead. I'm so sad.

Please let me know if anyone finds a few, still-breathing communities out there.
