I'm not going to ask for the ultimate 'gimme' pve tank build. I made my own for level 65, my current level, and am asking for advise to improve it or alter it.

I would feat for Sustained Rage. Its a good ammount of damage and that equals threat.

Sustained rage does not add much in the form of aggro lol, just DPS.

There is a reason guardians are like 22nd on DPS list but always #1 on aggro list.

Get rid of prowess/brutal blows, and take out ALL the points in bleeding counterstrike/bleeeding dulling blows, maybe put 1 in bleeding dulling blows.

Then put points in stand your ground
Then obtain goad/Cunning deflection in the general tree and you are G2G.

Then put your points as you level in the intervene/juggernaut line.

Keep in mind he is still lvling and is not going to be in a group all the time. I was just trying to help him keep his damage up for when he is grinding outside of an instance. And not to be a **** or anything but your above statement is flawed. More damage = more dps = more theat, if it didn't then dps classes would never take aggro from a tank. 10% increase in damage equals threat, more damage equals more threat and incedentily more damage also equals more dps. Food for thought.

This is a GOOD build. I would change only a few points.

At 65, this would help you hold aggro better. Again, Jimmyup has a good build if you want to MAINLY PvE and a lil PvP. But ONLY group PvE, I would go with mine. Solo PvE or a PvE/PvP mix i would go with Jimmyup's.

Tanking since day 1 will teach you 1 IMPORTANT THING. And that thing is stay alive and hold aggro. That is all that matters.

With that said. I am normally 22-24 on the DPS charts. Normally less than 1% of the overall DPS. BUT SOMEHOW, if I start the fight NO CLASS unless they goad off me gets aggro from me. HIGH DPS is not needed for aggro holding. DOT BLEEDS and HATE = AGGRO. DPS is only a small % of what is needed to hold aggro. Way to see it is how does a Necro do 18% of the overall damage but never pulls off me. DPS IS NOT = HATE. PERIOD.
