I believe it was an issue with the newer Nvidia cards having the ability that if they are not running at full load they can assist the cpu with other tasks. I think there was a problem with the new architecture of the i7 not being compatible with that ability. This may have been fixed with the newer drivers. Can't remember what sight it was on but there were several people complaining about crashes with the GTX 280 cards. Is not the GTX 285 essentially a dual card like the GTX 295? I know the GTX 295 is basically two GTX 260s on one card. I think it was only the straight GTX 280 that had the issues.

You couldn't be more wrong. Win 7 is the single most tested and bug free O/S Microsoft has ever put out. The level of comprehensive testing and break/fix that Microsoft put into Windows 7 would blow your mind - not to mention the certification passes.

Yeah, 7 is overrated and does have its fair share of bugs. I just reinstalled xp64 in place of 7-64.

With 7 I experienced frequent windows explorer unresponsiveness/crashing, and once it started it wouldn't stop without a reboot - google it, its real. Secondly, I use an xfi soundcard and the audiodg.exe with 7 has a giant memory leak. After an hour or so of gaming audiodg.exe would be eating up around 2gb of memory - google it, its real too. Granted, Creative Labs doesn't release the most dependable drivers... still, it worked fine on xp and vista. The new interface and various 'nice but useless' features in 7 aren't worth it. And who cares about dx10/dx11 anyway? Commies, that's who.

Add me to the list of happy Win 7 users. 3 PC's, 1 Laptop, all running it, and it is a dream.

AoC runs in DX10 like butter being taken down with a hot knife.
