About:
First off, I'd like to point out this is a community driven website. Any type of Bickering etc will not be tolerated on MMOBattles.com. We are here to bring more Player driven content to the game which we play, "Age of Conan."

Basically, MMOBattles is a player driven community website that will be focusing on but not limited to; Single PvP, Group PvP, Guild PvP.

How you ask? Well some of the things we will be doing at MMOBattles.com is Tournaments & Ladders. Read below for what our Tournaments and Ladders hosted at MMOBattles.com have in store for you.

Tournaments - A big in game competition where the players have a chance to win prizes.

Ladders - Also another place where players have a few chances to win prizes but more or less ladder system is more about gaining rep for being the best on the board.

Tournament & Ladders are going to be going though changes, So things may change over time just giving fair warning.

Goals:

Short term,

Starting up Semimonthly, Tournaments. (2 Every Month) untill we can support more.

Getting our Ladders up and running to stress test for bugs.

Finding/Starting our radio commentator for our tournament fights so everyone can hear excatly whats going on live, who wins from no matter what location they are.

Long term,

New website fully customized for pvp tournaments and ladders for mmo's.
Running a Tournament each week.
Big Prizes
(Some of the long term goals are secret, and are very exciting! So keep in touch!)

Volunteer Staff Needed:

Yes we need staff! Below is a list of Whom we are looking for,

Radio Commentator. (Depending on what we will be sorting out shortly, But if your interested please Email Overlord@MMOBattles.com)

Forum Moderators. (To keep our website up and running, Hassle and stress free.)

MMOBattle Ref's. (In game players who run the tournament based events, who keep track whats going on checks for cheating or breaking of our MMOBattle rules.)

Coders. (Looking for Any PHP, C++, C#, coders. to help out with our website and other needs.)

Graphic Designers. (Creation of images for MMOBattles, and its marketing.)

Video Editor. (Creation of videos, mixing images working with the graphic designers for mmobattles used for marketing and tournament match videos)

Just a suggestion - Take this down.

It's tacky and not very professional.

No offense but if you need $20 in donations to survive every month chances are you shouldn't be running a Ladder site.

Perhaps this was just a template over site.

Sure it looks tacky. Maybe i should update what it says there so people know what i actually meant.

This is a community driven project. Sure i might of started it up. But im not going to keep paying out of pocket every month for tournament prizes. Would you?

The donations box is there for people to hopefully one day start donating their own hard earned and much needed money to help fund prizes. Instead of just my self. Hopefully i can find at least SOME community support.

Yes and I have before... Squadgames.com I gave away 5900 Ultra graphics cards when those were "state of the art" for RvS tournaments. I averaged around $15,000 a year or so between servers, websites, and prizes. Right now I spend about $5k a year on the community and it's strictly for hardware + bandwidth for our servers. I stepped away from doing a ladder / tournament site because you will find it's like a second job to keep it running.

However if you want to have it completely community / donation driven I would change the wording around a little bit and increase the pool to $1000 so that people have a real target to shoot for instead of $20.

Thats great to hear, Though this was started by my self with no other help from other company's etc. I'm sure when you started out you had nothing just as i.

Hopefully i can get to the stage your at or was at. But till then. I will keep pushing forward, And yes 20$ was to low. But again to my defense it was set as standard for the donation box when configed and never changed it till now. ATM i changed it to 200. Which i think is fine for now.
